Dividend Growth Stocks

Money in the Trough – June 2016 Buys

This little pull back has finally triggered a few buys.  Here are this month’s dividend growth stock purchases.

This posts will be updated throughout the month with any additional buys (I hope there are lots more!).  I will update the post the same day for any future trades made during this month (and show in the table below).  That will prevent me from having to summarize my additional buys in my end of month dividend income and net worth reports or making a new post every day.

My Dividend Growth Stock Purchased – June 2016

June 2016 Dividend Growth Stock Purchases

My dividend portfolio has been updated with these buys as well as the additions made via DRIP.

What have you been picking up this month?

I'm a dividend growth investor who is aiming to retire early in 4 years at the age of 45. My goal is to live off the income my dividend portfolio and rental property produce exclusively and leave the corporate rat race. I hope you will join me in this journey!

  1. MSFT might be a screwed buy considering this morning’s LinkedIn news. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

Yep… not quite sure why they would buy linkedin. However, the new Xbox One coming out in August is great news!

  2. I like the buys, especially WFC. Great dividend paying bank that could serve as a foundation for many great portfolios. I agree with the previous comment. Not exactly sure what MFST was doing or how LinkedIn will mesh with their business. That being said, they paid a nice chunk of money for a social media platform and a TON of business information. Let’s see if they can deliver now and the answer to that won’t be for many years. So for now, enjoy the dividend and your new Xbox One!

      Hi DD,

Microsoft paid a boatload for a lot of business data that I suspect they already had… just without the users. I suppose they can use linkedin as a natural platform to push Office 365 and MS Dynamics, but they could have just purchased ad space from Linkedin A LOT cheaper. My guess is the real opportunity for MSFT is selling data from linkedin users who want to buy and automatically load extremely relevant sales data into MS Dynamics. The question is, will linkedin users just delete their data once the terms change. I will indeed enjoy the (hopefully growing) MSFT dividend. And personally, I’m looking forward to the Xbox One S.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting!

  3. That’s quite a bit of buys for the month of June. Nice to see you are continuing to deploy your money in many solid companies. I just bought some ABBV too and like the WFC and TRV add as well. Thanks for sharing.

      Hi DH,

If we’d only waited a few more days we could have gotten some even better deals. Never in a million years did I think Britain would vote to walk away from the EU. Unfortunately, I was away from my computer today and none of my limit orders hit! I suspect we’ll have quite a few more days of deals ahead of us though.

      Thanks for the comment!
